MS Word Custom Paper Sizes
You can select from a variety of different properties to alter the size of your printouts. There are four properties you can change. They are labeled Alignment, Base size, Margins, and Color. You can also add an optional third property if you intend to use multiple copies of the same document.
Press the right arrow button on the keyboard to open the Customized paper properties dialog box. This button may also be found in the main menu of your printer. There are four options under Alignment: Center Right Fit, Offset, and Home. You can alter the location of your personalized paper by choosing one of these options.
For more detailed information about custom paper sizes and their effect on your printing, go to ” Printing” and then “Settings”. The word “Population settings” at the bottom of this window. The numbers in this text represent the number of people in your target market who will be exposed to your advertisement. To change the settings, simply click on the appropriate number. Enter the desired values, then hit OK to alter the settings.
Alignment – This is the center of page positioning. If you’re using Microsoft Word, it is in fact set up to determine the position of your text placed based on your current window position. The numbers in the upper left corner show the alignments you can use to personalize your document. There are three alignments to choose from: Home, Center, and Offset. To alter the alignments of your document simply click on the appropriate number and then change the setting to one that is closest to the one you’d like to use.
Drop-down lists – You are able to change the color scheme of your customized sizes of paper by selecting the drop-down list beneath the scale option. The list contains a mix of solid and dots colors. When you select one of the colors the scale will be automatically altered to match the color selection. Click on the desired color and click on the OK button to change the color scheme.
Two-Column AutoShaper: This allows you to make your document fit in the perfect 2 column format by using the 2-column autoShaper. Click on “semble”, next to “flows” to achieve this. The “flows tab offers a number of useful features, including page centering justification, page size control and alignment tools. These tools can be accessed by clicking on the icons. To alter the layouts simply click on the “link icon”.
Preset Colors – In older printers, you may have to manually enter the desired color for each page. Newer printers allow you to select a specific size of paper from a variety of preset colors. Click on “color” to open the color palette. A color selection will appear. Click on the color you want to alter your color choices. Click on the “backbutton” to return to the color palette.
Changing the paper size setup in your printer driver should be easy and quick. These suggestions will help you navigate the different options and settings your printer driver provides. You can alter the paper information setting to make sure that your documents are of the correct dimensions for your computer.
When you open the Print Server dialog box You will be presented with the following options: Current Paper Settings, which will display all the currently set custom sizes for paper. Double-click “current paper size” to display the current selection of sizes, as well as their numbers within the range you want. The number you select will determine the maximum and minimum sizes your document. If you wish to extend your document, choose the “stretch” tab and enter an amount between zero and nine.
To update your paper’s size information, select “print” from the main menu and click print settings. A dialog box for updating will pop up. Click “OK” to update the printer’s configuration. Next, click “print” from the main menu, and then select the print settings tab. You will now see a new set.
To add more custom sizes of paper You will need to open the Print Server dialog box, click the “add” button, type in the number between one and nine, and click ” okay.” In the new window that appears, you can change the values from the current settings, and make sure you have them correct before hitting the “apply” button. In a few moments you will have a selection of custom paper sizes and all of them are available to use in your document. If you find this too complicated or would prefer to save time and use only one document that has different dimensions, you can always select “set number” and select the size that you prefer within the range you entered in the previous step.
